We pan away from an intersection signposted ’Haddonfield’ to a yellow car. Two figures approach a small hole in the ground. A sheriff enters a room empty save for a lab-coated man – one asks ’what happened here?’ A teen girl sitting in a car wipes her hand on the windscreen and analyses the residue on her fingers. A man sits on furniture, feet dangling off the floor. Finally, a woman sits on the floor of a doorway – in the background a masked man sits up.
